Tógadh an scoil seo i 1956. Cuireadh 3 sheomra réamhdhéanta lei i 1972 nuair a comhnascadh Scoil Bhaile Mhicheáil agus Scoil Bhaile Láir linn. Sa bhliain 2000 tógadh ceithre sheomra ranga nua agus athraíodh an tsean fhoirgnimh isteach i halla, leithris agus oifigí. The school was built in 1956. 3 prefabs were added in 1972 following the amalgamation of Ballymichael N.S. and Ballylar N.S. In 2000, 4 new classrooms were added and the original school building was converted to a main hall, with offices and toilets.

Whether you are a fluent speaker of Irish yourself or if you have very little Irish, please remember that we are a Gaeltacht school and appreciate parental support and respect for our native tongue
